I have been at the Lago Maggiore several times so this page is about Locarno as well as about Lago Maggiore!
I've been here for a few days in 1991 and back then we used Locarno as a base for day trips around the Italian part of Switzerland and North Italy. Afterwards I was here for day trips only. Unfortunately I haven't got loads to tell you about the city - what I enjoyed most was swimming at the Lido every morning and evening!
