Finland is my favourite country, especially in summer. Holidays here are soooo relaxing and everytime I am back home I want to be there again

In Finnish summers you will find

... blue scandinavian skies and lots of fresh air from the sea
... happy people and exotic architecture
... relaxing sauna evenings and nature all around you
... the world champions in softice eating and coffee drinking
... fresh peas and strawberries everywhere you go
... nightless nights and incredible skies

So go there, enjoy the summer as the Finns do it. They know it's over soon and enjoy it the best the can.

The best time to visit

A nightless night

I haven't been here in real summer so I think the best time to visit Finland is over Midsummer. "Juhannus" is celebrated all over the country at a weekend between the 20th and the 26th of June. It's all about traditions and enjoying the summer then. There's bonfires, dancing and the skies are just amazing. This picture was taken at 1 a.m. in Helsinki by the way. It really doesn't get dark! I'd love to go to Lapland for a nightless night once but I have never made it that far north. But it's still on my list...

Pros and Cons

Pros:Woods, lakes, sunshine, icecream, islands, great language.... exotic!
Cons:Mosquitos can be a pain. And too far away from Germany :(
