The only times I have been to Oberhausen was for shopping reasons. They have built a huge shopping centre called CentrO. You find about 200 shops there, a cinema, a musical theatre, an arena, an amusemnet park, lots of restaurants...

I hate this place because it is sooooo "fake" - but it's very convenient for Saturday morning shopping or for some nice Irish bread in the "even more fake" Irish pub there.

Pros and Cons

Pros:Shopping, Eating, Drinking, all on one place!
Cons:This is not Germany! This is not Oberhausen!
In a nutshell:Go for shopping and leave!
