Actually the name of this hotel is wrong in VT's database, it's called Dorint Sofitel Amsterdam-Airport.
The hotel is located in a new business district of Schiphol, 10 minutes away from the airport by bus. There's a free shuttle bus to and from the airport every half an hour. Make sure to be in front of the hotel early at peak times, sometimes all seats in the bus are taken and you have to wait for the next one. Especially at weekends it's hard to get away from the hotel otherwise.
The hotel seems to be rather new. I was mighty impressed with the stylish lobby and the comfy rooms and beds.
Unique Qualities: This hotel is probably the nicest I have ever stayed in. It's got **** stars but offers good rates if you are lucky. We paid just 70 € for a double room (excluding breakfast).
Using the very stylish wellness area (with sauna, solarium, fitness centre and a pool which unfortunately was a bit too cold) is included in this price.
Internet usage is free as well, there's a small internet cafe near the reception.

Directions: By car take the A9, exit Aalsmeer. It's just down the road from there. If you arrive by plane or train take the free shuttle bus from in front of Schiphol Plaza.
