Cafe Central: A traditional "Kaffeehaus" Cafe Central Review

This place is a huge traditional Austrian "Kaffeehaus", which basically means that it is big, it serves all kinds of coffee and cake and little snacks as well, you can read your newspaper here and the interieur design is a little too flashy and a little too old fashioned. And it's lovely!

Favorite Dish: A drink and the latest newspaper. And a tomato soup when it's cold outside is nice, too!

Cafe im Turm: Views and cakes at the skijumping hill Cafe im Turm (Panorama Cafe) Review

The bar on top of the new skijumping hill "Bergisel" provides you with excellent views over Innsbruck and down the jump. With its very stylish design and the tasty looking cakes it was my favourite place for a drink.

Favorite Dish: The cakes looked absolutely gorgeous. As we went here shortly after breakfast we only had a drink though!

Directions: You can't miss it. You see the hill from all over Innsbruck! You have to pay €6 to get into the stadium first, though. But the view is worth it! And I bet the cake is as well...

Sweet Basil: A wonderful place Sweet Basil Review

A very cosy restaurant directly at the main square of the old town, opposite the "Goldenes Dachl" in the arcades. Even though this place is in a very touristy area it's a nice place, great food and prices are reasonable. Inside it's very cosy, I could have sat here for ages really!

Favorite Dish: I had Pasta with tomato cream and pork and beef. It was very tasty! All the salads and pasta dishes we had looked excellent. And prices were rather cheap... Especially for that location!

Cammerlander: A fancy restaurant at the Inn Cammerlander Review

A modern restaurant directly at the Inn river. They serve international trendy food such as Ramen and beautiful pizzas.

Favorite Dish: Pizza with Ruccola and Serano ham. Aioli garlic bread for starter. Pizzas were around 9€ which is a normal price for pizzas in Euro days....

Gasthof Goldenes Brünnl: Great food for decent prices Gasthof Goldenes Brünnl Review

Lothar brought us to this great place. It looks like a "normal" Austrian restaurant but it serves very fancy and great food. It's very meat orientated though so if you are a vegetarian you better go to the pizza place down the road ;-) Thanks Lothar for showing us this place and for the nice evening!

Favorite Dish: I had pork filet with potato cakes in Calvados sauce. It was absolutely tasty! As a starter we all got salmon which was nice as well (and I hate salmon so it means something when I say that ;) There was also fresh bread with lard and some pepper cheese as starters.

Gösser's: A stylish bar

A very stylish bar inside the Rathaus Passage, a modern new shopping gallery inside the town hall of Innsbruck.

Favorite Dish: We only went to this place for a drink but the pasta at the next table looked extreeemely lovely. Next time maybe!
