I spent two beautiful days in the Lake District with Steve and Susan in April 2003. We were lucky, these two days were the warmest April days for at least 1000 years. |

| | I came back for two more days to celebrate New Years 2004/5 here. Unfortunately it was rainy or overcast most of the time but we were lucky to catch a nice day with beautiful views as you can see on the picture. |
The Lake District consists of beautiful lakes, the highest hills (ok, mountains ;) of England, great places for walks and picnics, lovely little villages and thousands of sheep, pubs and outdoor shops to entertain the tourists. | | | Steve, Susan and the rest of the family |

barryg23 Wed May 23, 2007 19:55 UTC I hope we see as much in 5 days as you saw in 2! That poor guy in the flagpole - how embarrassed will he be if he ever sees your tip! | iandsmith Sun Jan 14, 2007 10:57 UTC Nice stuff, brings back memories | nickandchris Fri Feb 11, 2005 11:44 UTC If you visit the western Lake District you will find miles of sandy beaches, fewer people and cheaper prices. You still have the mountains and lakes nearby. It's our favourite part of the Lakes. | RhineRoll Wed Feb 2, 2005 21:18 UTC Zufall oder nicht... ich hab gerade ganz viele Schafe auf vielen GB-Seiten gesehen! Wäre ein witziger Travelogue, die mal zu sammeln :-) |
