Love at first sight!

Only one of my favourite views
***SOUNDTRACK FOR THIS PAGE: Sting - Island of Souls***

We went to Newcastle for a day and I fell in love with the city after a few minutes. I had expected it to be completely different. Not as beautiful. More grey than colourful. With the bridges along the river Tyne it's a real beauty, they give the city its special metropolis look.
Spectalular street views of Newcastle
I especially loved the views down the streets of Newcastle. There is a lovely street down to the river (Grey Street) with huge and beautiful old houses - unfortunately we rushed through here because we were late (as usual) so I didn't have a second to take a picture. And this is only one of the reasons why I'd love to go back here soon!
Ruth, Susan, Steve and Marie pretending to be arty
We met up with Marie (cheekymarieh) and her friend Ruth at the Baltic, the biggest art gallery outside of London around noon to give them some time to get their shopping done before they meet us. It was a beautiful day. Thanks girls, it was great fun meeting you :)

Pros:"The atmosphere, the bridges, the gallery, the half naked girls (HAHA)... everything!"
Cons:"The fact that I didn't stay for longer to see more!"
In A Nutshell:"I fell in love with this place after a few minutes!"

Haha, love the Newcastle girls tip. I've heard there are no cloakrooms in Newcastle nightclubs as the girls never wear any! Looking forward to seeing all those bridges too, I think our hotel is on the quayside.

"Of all the cities I have seen during my trip to England it was Newcastle I liked best." - And I can see why ;) How could I not discover this page earlier? If you know of any cheap flights there, let me know!
