I can't spend a few days in Dublin without going to Dalkey and Killiney for a few hours at least.
They are seaside suburbs south of Dublin. You can easily get here from Dublin by DART, the local commuter train.
Get off the train at Dalkey and follow to cost road to Killiney for views of great scenery, Dublin and the big villas of the local celebrities.
- Pros:Wonderful scenery, beautiful views and houses and a great escape from the smog of Dublin!
- Cons:I bet house prices aren't cheap ;)
- In a nutshell:Wonderful!

Gorgeous little page about one of my favourite suburbs of Dublin .... Well done ... :o)
I too have discovered the pleasures of this little village.less than 20 minutes from dublin by Dart. No visit would be complete without a visit to Hicks butchers to stock up on the best white pudding and sausages in the whole of ireland.
Dalkey's a grand place, the king's head is a favorite of mine.
I love Dalkey, that's actually were i stayed when i went to Dublin. Killiney Hill is amazing, and the village of Dalkey is very cute.
Dalkey is lovely, but it's a pity about the people there, full of "schicki-mickis"
