We stayed in Doolin for one night in summer 2001. Ooops did I just say summer there? It was a miserable but fascinating day. A bad storm, lashing rain which ended with lots of fun in one of the brilliant pubs.
We didn't know where to search for a bed that night. The next morning we wanted to go to the Cliffs of Moher so we searched for something close.
As it was raining we felt attracted by the pubs of Doolin - because it's the pubs that made Doolin get a page in every guide book!
- Pros:Great pubs, good location to explore Co. Clare
- Cons:Not much else than pubs. This is a tiny village!
- In a nutshell:What a night!

Brilliant Photo! Such a shame that the weather was not better! I miss going to Doolin for a weekend - arent the pubs great?!
Beautiful photo from the pier, it's nice to see the Ocean and the cliffs battling with each other. Good page with good info. I shall have a pint there in a few days, cheers.
