The King's Head: Another classic Pubs (general) Review

The best night of my recent stay in Galway I had in the King's Head. I had been there before 15 years ago and it was great to come back. The Guinness was tasty, the live band was great that night and we all were pretty much in a drinking mood. Too bad we had to get up at 3.30 the next morning to drive to Shannon Airport so I had to take it easy on the Guinness unfortunately.

The Keys: A classic Pubs (general) Review

The Keys is one of the biggest and most popular pubs of Galway. I've never seen it empty actually, it's always packed with tourists and locals. The interieur is rather special here - the whole place looks like a church rather than a pub. Great!

Dress Code: None that I know of. At the side door there aren't even bouncers sometimes (On Saturdays there are though but still there doesn't seem to be a dress code.

The Cellar Bar: ROCK! Pubs with Music other than Trad Review

If you don't want to hear any more Irish music and would like to sit in an empty comfortable bar instead of standing in a smoky crowded pub go here. There's live music here as well but it ROCKS!

Upstairs there's food available. When I recently wanted to go in just for a drink I had to go out again immediately because I can't stand the smell of vinegar. And this smelled like a whole bottle under my nose unfortunately ;)
