Howth is a little fishing village just north of Dublin. It's a very nice place with fishing boats, nice walks, great views from Howth hill and many nice restaurants.
If you are in Dublin you should definitely spend one day in the suburbs north or south of Dublin. Howth is one of my favourites.
Make sure to bring sandwiches to eat at the pier. It's a lovely place for a picnic. If you come here by car make sure to go up to Howth Hill. You will get nice views of Dublin bay from there.
- Pros:Lovely pier and harbour, great cliff walk
- Cons:Too far away from Düsseldorf ;)

hope it's not THAT blustery when I see Howth in Oct, but love the photo, just the same...very atmospheric...
