I recently went to Turku on a day trip from Helsinki. On our way there there was heavy rain and we thought there would be a real museum day ahead of us.
As soon as we had parked our car the sun came out though and it was a beautiful sunny day. So we went straight into the tourist information to find out if we still had the chance on a boat trip through the archipelago. And we had. Before our boat left we even had some time left to see a bit of Turku and to visit the castle!
The highlight of our day in Turku was the trip through the beautiful archipelago though.
Unfortunately because of the beautiful boat trip we missed quite a few great sights of the town itself and also we haven't seen much of the beautiful architecture in the city centre. But I am sure that this wasn't my last visit to Turku so some day I'll add some more here.
