"Copenhagen in the rain, the snow and the... " a Copenhagen Travel Page by sabsi

I first went to Copenhagen in summer 2000 when being on a trip through bit of Scandinavia. Bigs and I stayed here only for a day, then we cancelled our planned second night and went home. This wasn't because we didn't like Copenhagen. It was just the constant rain and the most uncomfortable hostel bed that made us want to go home. As my camera broke on the first day in Copenhagen I only have a few of Bigs' photos from that stay.

I returned in November 2005 because Thomas was invited to "NEXT 2005" exhibition in the fancy IT University of Copenhagen. Again the city welcomed me with rain. I walked around town all first day in the rain, which was slowly turning into snow while me hands and feet were slowly turning into ice. It was even too dark to take pictures that day so excuse the lousy quality of some shots please.

Luckily I met local VTers Claus and Rasmus early enough at my hotel and they brought me to a cosy cafe with the lovely name "Sabine's Cafeteria" to warm up again. Jon and Charlotta with her family joined us after work and we had many beers and a great time.

For the next day I expected more rain and snow so I decided to sleep in the morning. when I woke up around lunchtime I was shocked to see sunshine!! I quickly grabbed my camera and went on another walk through the city before going to the exhibition for a while. In the evening the exhibition was over so Thomas and I went for a lovely walk through christmassy Tivoli. It really is the perfect place for a christmas market!!
