On my way to Heidelberg I had to drive by Darmstadt and as I wanted to go back here some day I took a break here.
I was in Darmstadt for a weekend before. Back then my Finnish then-boyfriend wanted to visit his Finnish friends who studied there. A horrible weekend it was. It was raining all the time and the Finns never stopped talking Finnish. |

I realised later that back then we missed the best part of Darmstadt: The Mathildenhöhe. Here you will find some of the best pieces of Art Nouveau architecture in Germany. |
I walked around here for an hour just admiring the beauty and taking lots of pictures. Of course later at home I realised that I had missed some of the best bits again. I guess I have to return here some day again.... |
