I went with both my sister and her husband to travel in Zichron since its been a while since we last visit there.
We found a great town with true magic. Lots of boutique stores, mostly of wine, and home made food, arts and gallery.
Since it was a holiday - it was full with people and if you add it a great sunny day then April and May are great time to visit there.
Colorful colony located on the nose of the Caramel, is the first session in the country and is a center for tourism and recreation area.
Each visitor comes to Zichron Yaacov, rushing to the street and generous founders Street downtown pedestrian mall has become a much desired special atmosphere thanks to the line instead. Streets paved with stone, passing between the first houses of the colony (some restored), there is widespread activity. Many restaurants and cafes graceful appeared here one by one and graceful, tasteful shops offer a variety of items including fine art and souvenirs, and special galleries display works of art, during a special program producers and Japanese mulberry paper and wood. The new stand alongside old buildings as well as the synagogue and officials, an old courtyard in which a display of old farm equipment, and two original buildings which are historical museums: Beit Aharonson (Nili Organization History) Museum of the First Aliyah. These and more came together for celebration vibrant and colorful pedestrian mall teeming with life.
Early days were Zichron Yaakov two distinct features: wine and relaxation. Agriculture was based on a branch instead of vines and East colony built a large winery in 1889 was the most important industrial establishments of the place. Winery worker today (Caramel), Jane has a cultural center with free tours. Later, during the British Mandate became a vacation resort town colony to the present rural workers in hotels, some pension recovery.
Zichron Yaakov was established in 1882 following the difficulties has been the protection of Baron Rothschild and continued her momentum of development. During World War I became the colony of an organization's activity center Nili, who passed intelligence information to the British army to help him seize power from the Turks who ruled the country.
Despite the accelerated urban development of the state, despite the growing population due to absorption, there can still maintain a rural character and unique paintings. Around Zichron Yaacov has many sites for walks. South the generous level gardens, which are unique and well maintained garden planted around the grave of Baron Rothschild and his wife Adelaide. Front gardens is a beautiful nature reserve overlooking the Mediterranean coast, and at the entrance to them is "farm stockmen" offering from the past experiences for children and families. To the south is the beautiful Shuni fortress, north of Mount Caramel full sliced citrus.
