Cheung Chau is a short ferry ride from Hong Kong and a great way to escape the husle of Hong Kong. Coming into the harbour you`ll see hundreds of fishing boats. They shelter in the harbour during storms and its a big fishing island. No motor vehicles alowed. Small golf carts are used for services.
When getting off the ferry you can go lrft which takes you past open air restaurants, soccer field and towards the Pak Tai Temple.
This temple is left off the ferry. From here you go right down a number of side streets and also to the main beach.
- Pros:Quiet, slow pace. Good food. nice escape from Hong Kong
- Cons:Didn`t see or experience any
- In a nutshell:Interesting culture

If I were eating there on a nice sunny day I wouldn't touch the octopus, the shrimp or the beer...But I'm sure there must be something else. Maybe lettuce LOL
Thanx for your nice story...
