Celje has only 47,000 inhabitants, but it is the third Slovenian town by population. Despite being an important industrial centre, it has a very well kept centre with many churches and other monuments. My parents and I enjoyed walking across its clean streets, but unfortunately we could spend there only a couple of hours, because we had to go to Ljubljana. However, we saw a lot of interesting places and I would love to go back to this small city one day. |

KiKitC Tue Jul 21, 2009 11:01 UTC You're right. What a gem this city is. I woud love to roam those streets photographing everything...but I wouldn't know how to pronounce what I'm shooting! Hehehe Great Tips. | mircaskirca Wed Oct 29, 2008 00:06 UTC Celje is a nice little city but there is quite a lot to see - certainly a good reason to return and explore some more. Didn't know that it is bird-friendly city - though like the idea :) | Cristian_Uluru Mon Sep 15, 2008 21:10 UTC Bella cittą! |
