The locomotive of the North-East

by Mikebond - last update: Jan 22, 2006

Veneto with its provinces
If Italia were a train, Veneto would be a locomotive. My region is often referred to as the locomotive of the North-East or even of Italia.
Veneto lies in North-Eastern Italia and has seven provinces. Here they are in decreasing order of size: Venezia (the regional capital city), Verona, Padova, Vicenza, Treviso, Rovigo (my hometown) and Belluno.

Pros:"a region with a great soul and a lot of art"
Cons:"Venezia doesn't represent its region"
In A Nutshell:"many tourists still ignore most of its beauties"
