Treviso is quite a little town with little more than 80,000 inhabitants but it recently became a very important cultural centre. It always hosts interesting art exhibition at the Casa dei Carraresi. I visited it with my parents in 2003, when we went there to see an exhibition of Van Gogh's paintings. It is a very peaceful town with two rivers: the famous Sile and the Botteniga that divides into several channels before flowing through the centre of the town. That is the reason why Treviso is often compared to Venezia. |
