I don't think it's exagerate to give to Verona the title of most beautiful city of Veneto, considering that it was included in UNESCO's World Heritage List in 2000. Nothing to do with all the problems that afflict Venice (crowds of tourists, "acqua alta") or Padua (pollution). Although I only live 85 kms far from Verona and I have been there many times in hospital, I had never known how amazingly beautiful this neighbouring city was until my mother and I decided to visit it one day in 2004. If you can visit only one of the Venetian cities, go to Verona! |

icunme Wed Sep 23, 2009 16:37 UTC Lovely page - I am so happy they are cleaning the graffiti from the Juliet landmark - we'll see how long that lasts, unless they post a guard - it will now be a challenge just to write something! | Zvrlj Sun Jun 8, 2008 19:37 UTC Verona is beautiful city (except Juliet's house). Have you seen Cangrande? | Anjutka Tue Mar 4, 2008 19:45 UTC È una citta bellissima italiana. Ci sono stata per due volta e vorrei visiatare ancora! | Kuznetsov_Sergey Tue Sep 25, 2007 18:50 UTC Thanks Michele for bringing back sweet memories about this beautiful city which I happened to visit 11 years ago... Arena and Julietta's house are still in my mind. May be one day... |
