Gatteville-le-Phare ("Gatteville-the-Lighthouse") is a small village at the very North-East of the paeninsula of Cotentin, not far from Barfleur and Saint-Pierre-Eglise. The high lighthouse is its only attraction. My parents and I climbed it and my father took wonderful slides that I will upload here. |

This lighthouse was used in the brilliant film Diva. It has a lot more than 100-200 steps -- there are 365 steps, and 52 windows. | JLBG Sun Dec 18, 2005 05:59 UTC
