This square is really off the beaten path: my guidebook doesn't mention it and I could only find out its name after a long search on the web. Actually, no touristic attraction makes it worth visit, but you may have a rest there. You can see there a big cross, a fountain, a beautiful house and, far away, two skyscrapers housing a shopping mall called Les horizons.

Rennes est bien Bretonne. C'est la capitale de la Bretagne Gallo (Haute Bretagne), par opposition à la Bretagne Bretonnante (Basse Bretagne). On n'y parlait pas Français mais Gallo, une langue Romane. Breton ne veut pas dire uniquement "de Basse Bretagne" | Cristian_Uluru Sat Dec 16, 2006 10:31 UTC

Very interesting virtual trip on the old streets of Rennes. Looks a little bit like Rothenburg ob der Tauber in Germany, but the walls of the city are not there anymore |
