My countries

Hello! My name is Europa. You can find several other names to call me but that is the one I prefer.
I consist of a lot of countries, whose number varies depending on how people define me. According to the Council of Europe, I have 49 countries. Here is their list in alphabetical order:

What you will find in this page

This page is permanently under construction, as is our European house. Here are some hints for you about its present and future appearance.

Since many VTers enjoy visiting UNESCO sites, the first 50 or some "Things to do" tips are devoted to these locations, regrouped by country. The following tips in the same category deal will be about countries and cities I have visited and every tourist coming to Europe should visit. For the time being, you can only read about Paris and France, but more places are to come.

The "Local custom" tips include practical info you will need to visit Europe. These tips are specially written for extra-European VTers.

The "General tips" offer information about the European institutions and symbols.

When I have some time, I would like to add tips about important people in the European history and culture, and even more stuff.

A very interesting page about Europe. A little error has crept into your list of the European countries. Azerbaijan lies in Western Asia.
