"Call me Europa!" a Europe Travel Page by Mikebond

Hello! My name is Europa. You can find several other names to call me but that is the one I prefer.
I consist of a lot of countries, whose number varies depending on how people define me. According to the Council of Europe, I have 48 countries. Here is their list in alphabetical order:

On 25th March 1957, leaders of Bundesrepublik Deutschland (Federal Germany), France, Italia, Nederland, Belgique-België-Belgien and Letzëbuerg signed the Rome treaties creating the Economic European Communities.
On 25th March 2007, twenty-seven countries with around 500 million inhabitants celebrate the 50th "birthday" of Europe. Many of us Europeans are already looking at 2057 for a far better 100-year-old EU!
