"ROZZI CLARKE - NEW TO TRAVELLING" rozzi222's Profile
I am Rozzi Clarke, 20, grew up on a farm in rural south Norfolk, went to boarding school from 11-18.
I have got the travelling bug bad after seeing some friends do it and quitting uni this year!
I have not been to many places -
1. First holiday I remember was a month in America, we went to nebraska, South Dakota, Wyoming and California. I don't remember a lot but how big and spacious everything was!
2. I went to New York when I was 17 on an art trip and loved it, I couldn't get over just how huge it all was!
3. Berlin on another trip, so cold but a beautiful city.
4. I also travelled round Spain last year with my boyfriend and went to Pamplona (the bull running festival), Santiago de Compostela, and Seville. I loved Santiago!! So beautiful and not as hot as Seville - people rave on how great it is but I didn't see it, I think perhaps I did not see enough of it.
5.Have also been to Ireland when I was 18, I loved the Party atmosphere!
I have loved visiting these places and makes me want to do it for longer and see more exotic places, and perhaps then I might be able to acclimatise to the heat!
I enjoy creativity, I love to paint, I love contemporary art and photography, I love architecture and I love history, I love music! Going to New York was an eye opener as we were going to an art gallery every day, a bit tiring after a while but defiintley amazing going to some of the huge ones like the MoMa.
I have no idea what I want to do with my life or my creativity (not that I have a lot anyway!). There is a lot of things I enjoy as well as art, for instance health and disease, psychology, geography. I went to Birmingham to do an Art foundation course after doing A levels in Biology, Spanish, Art and two AS levels in Photography and French. I loved Birmingham, it was very refreshing after being in Norfolk, and I loved the urban setting I was living in and all the urban decay, something that interests me as an artist.
I did start doing Landscape Architecture at uni but the course was absolute crap so I quit and now can't decide what to do at all! So have decided to go travelling (hopefully!), to feast my eyes on all these sights, meet lots of lovely people again, to gain some confidence back and to figure out what I want to do in life. Hence I am booking a one way ticket to Oz/NZ stopping off at South-East Asia, to travel and then work and meet some likeminded people.
