This page is on a place called Thousand Steps, a very little publicized, but great hiking trail, just west of the small town of Mount Union, Pennsylvania. The site is a former mining operation, now abandoned except for the stone steps placed there by the workers.

Many years ago I had a good friend in Mt. Union and visited there about 3 times. Wish I had known of the Thousand Steps back then. Good tips.
