"Wadena..."Little Round Hill" in Ojibwe" Wadena by pipsqueak

Wadena Travel Guide: 2 reviews and 7 photos

Wadena means "Little Round Hill" in Ojibwe (Chippewa) Native American language. The original settlement was along the banks of the Crow Wing river on the Red River Ox-cart trail. I believe the current location was picked because the railroad would go through.
Today, Wadena has about 4,200 residents, and is the county seat of Wadena county. It has a fair number of business, and a technical college, and is home to Homecrest industries which makes a nationally known brand of patio furniture.

It is located at the junction of U.S. Highways 10 & 71 in west central Minnesota.

Actually they now have three screens. This is a really cool, art deco theatre. It is super clean. We are so lucky to have many of the best movies right when they are released. Across the street from the Cozy, is the Uptown Restaurant.
