We have just returned from Sevilla, Madrid, Toledo, Granada, and Barcelona. So, this travel page is about these cities, especially the architecture and where to stay.
If you had asked me before I went ... if Spain was a Catholic country, I would have said "Very much so." But I had no idea the degree to with Catholocism permeates every aspect of the cutlure. From having High School bands play at the church, to housing important political debates, to being a huge source of income for Spain, to authorizing the country's greatest scourges, and its hope of recapturing its past ... the Catholic church holds sway of the soul of Spain. |
