  • When you enter the bistros, boulangerie, charcuterie, patisserie, ticket booths, etc.... be sure to say hello (bonjour) ... and after your business is complete do say good-bye (bonne journee or au revoir). It really helps, is expected, and is much more pleasant than the 'whaddya want' attitude of most clerks and store owners here.
