There is a park in the south of Paris that is referred to as the Montmartre for the Parisians. It's gorgeous and the photos that follow were taken there April 1, 2002. I forget the park's name but metro runs right through the middle of it and you'll recognize it on any map. Go especially on weekends or holidays because the life of the people is so much a part of the park. It's BEAUTIFUL. Mitch

The Parisians have a gentle way of enjoying a weekend day when the weather is good. Outdoors, quiet, elegant. Much simpler and more restful than our Central Park which is the scene of soccer matches, zoos, runners, etc.

Or perhaps the complete disregard the turtles have for the swan that is honking right in their shells ... and generally being an unruly Parisian. (He didn't try to tip them over)

Or these male and female geese, happily waddling amid the ducks. No cares.
