You can't help but be impressed with the wonderful fountain display that is situated on the lake in front of the Bellagio Hotel. All sorts of music from Opera to pop are played as the fountains perform their magic, leaping up into the air and choreographed to the music which could be 'Singin' in the Rain' or 'Luck be a Lady Tonight'. Whatever the music the fountain display is such an impressive sight.

When we visited it was December and the music that the fountains 'danced' to was obviously Christmas. Johnny Mathis singing 'The Most Wonderful Time of the Year' was one of the tunes, it was so wonderful standing there watching the fountains, the lights and of course I had to join in the singing! The fountain displays are: Monday-Friday 3pm - 8pm every 1/2 hour 8pm- 12am every 15 minutes Saturday & Sunday 12pm - 8pm every 1/2 hour 8pm - 12am every 15 minutes You can usually tell when a performance as due as the crowds start to gather.

The thing I liked about Las Vegas is that every hotel is a bit like an amusement park, so many things to see besides the casinos. The Bellagio Conservatory which is just passed the reception area is beautiful. Being Christmas time the tree was up and the decorations to match. In the photo you can see the tree with a little stream in front and water fountains kept spraying out of the plants.

As you walk through the lobby/reception of the hotel look up and admire the wonderful ceiling that is an array of colour. These flowers and there are 2,000 of them are made of glass, hand blown and called 'Fiori di Como' made by Dale Chihuly.

Las Vegas besides being famous for gambling is also a prime location for people wanting to get married! In fact in 2003 almost 120,000 marriages took place in Las Vegas. In the Little White Chapel many famous people who have been married here include: Judy Garland Frank Sinatra Mickey Rooney Demi Moore and Bruce Willis Joan Collins Michael Jordan
It was also here that Britney Spears married her then boyfriend and it lasted just over a day!
On Valentines day some chapels perform more than 80 wedding services.

There is a compound in the hotel where the whole of the front is glass and you can see the beautiful white tiger, looking bored out of their brains. I think the layout of the enclosure with its small pool is more for the benefit of tourists than that or the tiger. There is a door at the rear which is constantly being pawed and scratched as if they are saying "get me out of here"! Its obvious they dont like it in here and when we were there there was just the one so maybe if two were in together they may not be quite as bored. These tigers are rotated so it isnt the same one all day thankfully.

There are snow white tigers here whose natural habitat is the Himalayas. Some have a very faint stripe. There are also striped white tigers. All these animals are in Siegfreid and Roy's conservation programme.
I love this picture, makes you want to cuddle him :-)

There are other cats here, tigers , panthers, and leopards. Although its lovely to see these beautiful animals and I am sure they are given the very best care I does sadden me that they are here in the first place. But I suppose if these animals were on the brink of extinction then otherwise they might have been no more. I dont know I am not an expert.
