Chatsworth

Chatsworth House is a stately home belonging to the Duke of Devonshire. It is situated in the county of Derbyshire and the village alongside this stately home is called Edensor (pronounced Ensor).

You couldnt imagine a more beautiful setting, with such lovely parkland and the villages surrounding this area are so quaint and mostly built of stone.

Edensor

Chatsworth is part of the village of Edensor but the village is adjacent to the parkland of Chatsworth. Its a beautiful village, lovely houses where I believe some of the estate workers live.

Pros and Cons

Cons:Traffic can be quite horrendous

Dianne, What an alluring page! Appreciate your attention to detail. This is just a charming area. Such enticing photographs. Loved, especially, the one with the sheep. Really enjoyed some of the stories about the places. Laurels to you.

Touring Britain with your tips is really fascinating. So much to do and see. Thought the admission to Chatsworth House was really expensive.

That is more than just a home.. what a grand life they led. Beautiful estate and the fountains sound wonderful. Thats a good tip on the free carpark. Trust you to get a Baaaa peeeeeeing.
