I found Rwanda one of the most beautiful countries in Africa. As in most places I travelled the people were extremely friendly and loved the idea you had come to visit their country. Especially considering there was a civil war on at the time. Up to then it was a "clean" war, with rebels fighting army. A couple of years after I left all hell broke loose and thousands, maybe millions died.
The country is safer again but you still need to use extreme care and stick to the main routes. |
