Arriving at Udaipur

It costs rs550-650 to get into town! I had forgotten about this. A non air conditioned taxi is fine when the weather is not hot, but the dust is no less in cool weathers.
Getting to Flora Hotel was a shock. It was far from the main attractions at the lake, not at all like what I was told or found out online. It was not worth being so far from the lake, getting there and back daily was a hassle.

Met Asif again!

We remembered how helpful he was when we were here in 2009. Fancy meeting him again outside Savage Garden. He is a most honest auto rickshaw driver ever, always earlier to pick us up, and never trig to ask for more than required. He brought us to a nice local hotel for the best Thali before our departure. That was a good treat for ournstomachs. Highly recommended to get him for local sightseeing as well as airport pick up and drop off. His English is impeccable! We gave him rs400 for the drop off. It was slower than riding in a taxi, but cleaner than the one we arrived in. His number is +91 9829777219.

Why not some pictures of Udaypur. It's fantastic touristy place. Yes, there are many people who just wait for easy prey!
