<B>Omišalj is a town that has prehistoric rudiments.
The excellent strategic position has endowed Omišalj with a rich and fabulous history.
Today's Omišalj, thanks to the climate, fertile land, pasture-ground and woods and thanks to the vicinity of the bridge, the airport and the town of Rijeka, combines very wisely the tourist trade and the industry into it's economy.Even though when i was there it wasn't touristy at all, especially compared to SPLIT or RIJEKA. I found the town to be beautiful, and Omisalj means a residense by a bay with mussells. It's a great stop over, with great water views, and beautiful pastural land..
