The Georges River runs through a good amount around Sydney. It runs through from West Sydney to South East Sydney. The Suburb that holds a nice nature basin of the River is near East Hills. Close to the Georges River National Park. Although its not a river that is exactly pristine, or untouched- i find it to be a nice place to settle and unwind and listen to the birds calls. It's a very calming area, great for family barbeques, picnics and short walks. This river is a good 10 minute drive from my house :-) |

Sandy Beach, Oatley (or Jewfish Point as it's sometimes known) has one of the largest open air swimming pools in the southern hemisphere.............and it's on the Georges River if you are looking for a swim without the sharks. Nice page, thank you. |
