3 days was not nearly enough time to see everything Savannah has to offer! She is steeped in history; take a trolly ride or better yet, a horse-drawn buggy ride! Southern friendliness, gloriously restored homes and magnificent squares are everywhere.

Wide, Tree-lined Streets

Wear comfortable shoes for a walking tour of the Historic District. The contrast is remarkable between the beautifully restored homes and the buildings that have yet to be rehabilitated. This is still a "work in progress" and is amazing.

Mansion in the Garden District

A drive up Abercorn offers huge mansions that take up an entire block, beautifully restored. I could picture myself coming down the majestic staircase, dressed in a ball gown.

• Cons:Mostly private homes; there are few which can be toured
• In a nutshell:I LOVED this town!!
