"Incredible Diving Opportunites" Amed by Daihappydai
Amed Travel Guide: 60 reviews and 174 photos
The Amed area has a wide range of dive sites, perfect for both beginners and the more experienced. There are several dive shops offering courses and equipment for hire. North of the Amed area in Tulamben is the Liberty Wreck, an easily accessed diving paradise. In the waters around Jemeluk Bay are many more dive sites many accessed directly from shore.
The Amed area has a lot to offer besides snorkelling and diving. There are some great walks to be had between villages along coast road that offer fantastic views. You can also go trekking inland up the slopes of Gunung Seraya.
There isn't a huge amount of nightlife in the Amed area although some of the restaurants have bands playing. Perhaps the best part of the evening is taking a walk just before dinner as the sun begins to go down. The sunsets are amazing.
- Pros:Beautiful landscapes, terrific diving
- Cons:None
- In a nutshell:A Chance to See the Underworld
