Travelling Indonesia
I have a real fascination with Indonesia - perhaps because it is close to Australia yet so very different, perhaps because I studied the language a little when I was at school - whatever the reason, I have been lucky enough to travel around many areas of Indonesia and have always found the people to be incredibly friendly. There is such a range of things to do and see - no two island groups are the same.

Thanks for your answer to 'Do you reserve tuk tuks for a day or just for one ride?'. Thanks soo much, you saved my butt. I didnt know there was a fee on the temples.
Yep, 25$ seems expensive compared to everything else in Cambodia, but the area is kept in good condition and the temples are amazing - I could spend days there....
Also note that you have to get your photo taken at the ticket booth, so if you are going to catch the sunrise - which is well worth it - get your hotel to do a packed breakfast and get there early enough.
Finally, don't throw away the ticket - the ticket is for all the temples for a day, not just Angkor Wat or Angkor Thom. And, you can be asked to show the ticket at any of the temples - seems crazy, because you can't get in without buying one - but two members of the group I was travelling with lost or threw theirs away early in the morning and then were told they had to buy another one before they could enter other temple areas.
Cheers.
Great to know! Good to know there are people like you in this world :)

Thanks for your answer to 'Makassar Travel agency in Airport'. Thanks for your advice.
Hi,
Have a look at my 'Rantepeo' page for some tips about Tana Toraja. I love the area.
The 'touts' are 'semi-official' - obviously they want to make some money so might charge a dollar or two more than the normal bus fare.
But, with the new airport, I think there might be more official bus line windows just outside the main terminal.
Cheers
What a colour full Bali Indonesia!
Hope you have a great birthday!
