"Jayapura and its surroundings" Jayapura by nieyukinari

Jayapura is a beautiful place located in Humboldt Bay. It has windy roads with beautiful views to the ocean. The city is less polluted than Jakarta, but it seems that it won't be the same in the next 2 years as cars and motorcyles are starting to increase. When I first came here 5 years, there was no traffic jam, but now there are traffic jams in some places. Business district is in the city. The picture shown is the business area, taken from a very nice 4-star hotel located by the beach. Although there are many pretty beaches here, there has been no water sports facilities to be used, and that's a pity because lots of tourist will be interested to come if there are things to do when visiting beaches rather than just sitting on the beach or get sunbathed.

About 2 hours drive from downtown, there is a pretty coral beach. It is a fishing village with village housing, fishermen's boats, coral beach, and a modest inn.
