I would recommend a trip to Togo for anyone looking for a friendly, accessible introduction to West Africa.

Walking in the hills around Kpalime, exploring Lome and relaxing by Lac Togo were all great, and easily doable in 10 days.

You'll find plenty of variety in the sights, terrain, activites, and cuisine in this small but very friendly country.

Pros and Cons

Pros:People, absence of hassle, off the beaten track.
Cons:Poor state of infrastructure.
