    • I have stayed at the Beresford Manor, a student residence located at 860 Sutter Street and I can recommend it without hesitation. It is not expensive and clean, an excellent choice if you are on a tight budget. Also, I stayed at the Allison Hotel (right before the entrance of the Stockton Street tunnel). It is comfortable but more expensive than the Beresford.
