A nice alternative for exploring!

So far I've made two visits to the Borough during Summer 2011. I spent time in Chiswick where I visited Chiswick House and also spent an afternoon at Gunnersbury Park. I noted that prices for attractions and eating out aren't as inflated than those in central London. It's only a 20-30 mins tube ride from the centre and the attractions are situated in London's Zone 3 and 4 hence only a 1-2 gbp extra on a Zone 1 & 2 Day Travelcard or top up on the Oyster Card for the day's travel.

There is so much to see and do there in the borough and it's nice to escape central London explore futher afield.

You can check out the website and find out what the borough offers.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Off the Beaten Track!
  • Cons:The Area isn't well promoted!
  • In a nutshell:Nice to escape and enjoy some green of Central London!

Enjoyed browsing our UK pages, you have a wealth of information, keep the good work up. Lived in Hounslow for a few yrs. Could not provide you with any further info regarding the shoe tree, but after searching the net, there seem to be many shoe trees around.!!!
