Bariloche

Bariloche is situated in Northern Argentine Patagonia and it's the gateway to Parque Nacional Nahuel Huapi, Argentina's first national park. The town is situated on the South Eastern Shore of Lago Nahuel Huapi.

It's a popular holiday destination for both Argentine and international travellers. The main parts of the town are the Centro Civico, facing the lake, and where there's a tourist information office and the national park's Intendencia. There is also the Museo de la Patagonia and east from the late is the Nuestra Senora del Nahuel Huapi church. You can enjoy the views of the mountains from the lake's beach but the water is too cold to swim in even in the summer.

Bariloche is popular for chocolate and there are many chocolate shops/cafes in the town and they're mainly on Calle Mitre.

There is a choice of excursions you can do during your Bariloche stay such as the Circuito Chico, Cerro Catedral, Cerro Tronador or the Lakes crossing into the city.

Wow, this area is breathtaking esp the Lago Moreno. Bariloche looks very touristy with some nice shops and great views.
