Cape Manazuru

Manazuru is best known by tiny peninsula not longer than 2 miles(3.2 Kilometers). It is formed by the volcanic eruption of Hakone volcano about 15,000 to 18,000 years ago. Eastern half of the peninsula is designated as Prefectural Nature Park. Also it is one of the 41 sites of Hakone Geopark. Although blessed with nature and unique landforms this area is one of the least introduced areas of Hakone. This area is home to boat owners, anglers and some family visitors with children. The coast areas are ideal place for urban children to learn about what sea creatures are there at the shallow sea coast.
