Subashiri Entrance of Mount Fuji Climbing

There are four major routes to climb Mount Fuji. Subashiri Route starting from Subashiri Sengen Shrine is one of them. Today, most of the Mount Fuji climbers no longer start the hike from the shrine, 800 meters above sea level. Subashiri Sengen Shrine is the common way of referring to Higashiguchi Hongu Sengen Shrine built in 802 to appease the erupting Mount Fuji.
