formula !, is it worth it? Grand Prix Formula 1 Review

Last year we made a special trip to KL to attend the Grand Prix. Transport is well organised from Central Station with trains and buses running to the track frequently, probably took 2 hours to get there, arriving 3 hrs before the race began. Unfortunately during the race their was problems with the big screen so we were unable to see what was happening on the other side of the track, also the sound system was inaudible and most spectators around me had no idea of the race order. when the race finished we rushed to the exit in order to catch the earliest transport back, but even this took 5 hours, arriving back at our hostel at 10 pm. It was a hot day so we took plenty of water and snacks with us, only to find out that on entering the track everyone was searched and their snacks were confiscated, mountains of food and water were left outside each entrance. Luckily we could buy water inside for 5 ringit ( 400% more than outside), also burgers and other snacks were available at the inflated price of 30 ringit. (at the end of the race those were being sold at a lot less as there was a lot of food left over). After the expense of the air-fare, and the entrance we probably will not attend the race in KL again, so if you intend to go there think twice, better to watch on tv.
