A place to stroll and linger

Wonderful, wonderful place. Ghosts. Witchcraft. Cream teas. Stroll along the medieval harbour, created naturally at the intersection of three rivers, which winds through steep cliffs to the Atlantic Ocean. And it's the meeting of these three rivers which are said to denote a place of spiritual significance making Boscastle a hospitable place for the Witchcraft Museum. This institution had been run out of town by fire bombings, death threats and cat hangings on the Isle of Wight before setting up shop on Boscastle Harbour.

You can easily spend half a day at the museum and then go and browse around the shops, half of witch (geddit) continue the witchcraft theme while others like Harbour Lights, offers an antidote to the pagan arts by selling books such as 'Wicca, Satan's little White Lie'.

Stroll along the cliffs to the lookout spot or continue on the coastal path to Tintagel (King Arthur's digs) or go in the other direction towards Strangles or Crakington Haven for truly stunning beaches.

Lots of good places to eat. You can get a good breakfast at the Riverside and a so-so dinner at the Bridgehouse. As we ate our dinner, we enjoyed teh sight of merry whitsling drunks reeling out of the Cobweb Inn.
