Since 1985 I am living in the Lowveld town of Nelspruit, the capital of Mpumalanga Province. Mpumalanga means Zulu for "where the sun rises".
Nelspruit is the Gateway to the world renowned Kruger National Park and other conservation areas, the port of Maputo, sugar cane, citrus, forestry, mining and various other industries.
Nelspruit has warm humid summers and mild winters with occasional snow on the Long Tom Pass in the Drakensberg. |

Jenniflower Tue Dec 5, 2006 10:29 UTC I dont think that warning comment was necessary. I know Nelspruit well and as with any city - be careful what you flash about and where you go! | lichinga Sun Feb 15, 2004 21:41 UTC Lovely picture of a lovely place, but a crude comment about possible Dangers: hope it's not so close to reality. |
