    • Take a walk around the back streets of Penola, particularly Petticoat Lane, you wont have to go far to see these facinating old homes and you will visit no less than 33 National Trust heritage sites around Penola.
    This one, Ulva Cottage was built around the 1840s.

    You can go to the The John Riddoch Interpretive Centre to get info before you go
    It is situated on the corner of Portland Street and historic Petticoat Lane, Penola, visitors can tour the centre before being guided to the old school house.

    The centre is open daily 10am to 4pm. More details (08) 8737 2092.

    • Get a picnic basket and sit in the park in the centre of town. Sheltered, lots of shady trees, very green and tidy.
