Mary McKillop's home town

Penola is probably most well known for the fact that Mother Mary Mckillop who is just about a Saint, set up a school in Penola. The school is still here and is an attraction.
Penola is full of beautiful old buildings, hotels and restaurants.
mmmm.... wine!

Wineries

The other thing Penola is known for is that it is close to Coonawarra which is a main wine producing area of Australia!

Pros:"Lots of historic buildings, fantastic restaurant"
